Donor Of The Month
Dr. Andrew J. Thacker (Beta Commission-VMI '61)
Dr. Andrew Thacker is Professor Emeritus at Cal Poly Pomona University, having taught for over 20 years in the College of International Business and Marketing. He is the recipient of 8 "General Motors Marketing Institute" awards, 21 Golden Key National Honorary awards, and 4 White House awards from two US Presidents. He recently was recognized as the first "Legend of IBM" recipient by Cal Poly Pomona University. Dr. Thacker is a graduate of VMI in Lexington, VA and currently resides in Seabrook, TX. He has been a longtime supporter of KAOEF and is a recent member of the 1865 Trust.

Andy Heyward is a Financial Representative for Northwestern Mutual in Atlanta, Ga. He is a former Trustee of the Kappa Alpha
Order Educational Foundation and has been a very generous supporter of KA. He is dedicated to furthering the mission of Kappa Alpha Order and helping provide outstanding educational opportunities for our undergraduates.

Andy is currently active with the Atlanta Area Episcopal Youth Group and resides with his wife, Carol, in Sandy Springs, Ga.

James L. Ostner

Jim made a generous donation to the Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation (KAOEF) for the creation of the Andy Eichoffe Scholarship.The Scholarship is nearing full endowment and will benefit the brothers of Gamma Omicron at Lambuth University and Forrester Province.

Jim has been a loyal donor to the KAOEF for years and is interested in furthering the educational mission of Kappa Alpha Order and its undergraduate members.

Steve Williams

Steve has recently reconnected with Kappa Alpha Order. At the 72nd Convention in San Antonio, Steve participated in Leadership KA and made some great connections with fellow brothers. Steve is an avid supporter of the KAOEF's Bid for Brotherhood and would like to see alumni become further involved with this live and silent auction that supports KA's undergraduate brothers. In addition, Steve has taken an interest in the E. Fleming Mason Memorial Internship Program.
Raymond B. Bottom, Jr.
(Alpha Tau - Hampden-Sydney)

Ray has been the Alumnus Advisor for the KA chapter at Hampden-Sydney College for over 40 years. He has been an avid supporter of the Alpha Tau chapter by serving on their Alumni Advisory Committee and Housing Corporation. Ray was the recipient of the 2006 NIC Award of Distinction for an Alumnus. In October, Ray received the Knight Commander's Accolade for his dedicated service to our beloved Order. In addition, Ray has made a generous gift to the Honoring Our Past - Securing Our Future capital campaign. 
Darren S. Kay
(Alpha Epsilon - Westminster) October, 2007

Darren is the former Province Commander of Chiles Province and was recently elected to the Exectuive Council during the 72nd Convention in San Antonio, TX. He is a dedicated and continuous supporter of the Number I's Leadership Institute and the Crusade RoundTable. Darren became the newest member of the 1865 Trust in July. The 1865 Trust is the KAOEF's planned giving society.

Jerry is the first major gift toward helping endow the Number I's Leadership Institute in the Honoring Our Past - Securing Our Future capital campaign. He was the Leadership Lecture Speaker at the 71st Convention in Roanoke, VA in August 2005. He is the current Senior Vice President of ATP Oil & Gas in Houston, TX. ATP Oil & Gas is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of natural gas and oil properties in the Gulf of Mexico and the North Sea.
